In this role you will initiate and drive technology, software, product, and solution development using deep technical expertise. You will act as the first point of contact in R&D for complex product or technology issues. You will also support strategic corporate technology management and shape future product, software, and solution architecture.
You will be accountable for developing the product, expanding your competence portfolio with new tools and methodologies, managing high‑impact technology projects and platforms, proactively mitigating quality risks in R&D, and securing and developing intellectual property in line with ABB’s IP strategy.
You are highly skilled in cloud‑native software engineering, specializing in infrastructure automation, GitOps delivery models, and internal platform tooling that accelerates developer experience. You have over three years of experience building automation or backend systems with TypeScript/Node.js, React, Python, C# or similar languages, and you possess advanced Backstage development skills, including plugin creation and CI/CD integrations. You are adept with Terraform, Terragrunt, Azure provisioning, Kubernetes/AKS, and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, and you are passionate about simplifying complex cloud operations into intuitive self‑service workflows.
