Assess current accounting systems and processes; identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and reduce manual work.
Build scalable processes that support growth from current state through future expansion.
Translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible guidance for non-finance leaders.
Manage and develop accounting team members, fostering growth, accuracy, and accountability.
Produce accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
Partner with leadership to build annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial models.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures.
Strengthen job-costing accuracy and ensure alignment between Finance, Production, and Sales.
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, job costing, revenue recognition, and month-end/year-end close.
Establish and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risk.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, labor laws, and internal policies.
Track performance against budget and provide clear, actionable insights to executives.
Requirements

8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, job-costing environments, and audit/tax compliance.
Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to think strategically and anticipate future needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, or job-costing industries highly preferred.
Proven success improving financial systems, implementing new tools, or upgrading ERP platforms.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting tools and automated workflows.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
