In this position you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing and maintaining a diverse range of equipment, vehicles, building facilities and marine systems, while ensuring projects meet industry‑leading quality standards. You will work both in the workshop and on‑site, collaborating with operations managers and customers to deliver precise, safe and compliant solutions.
- Overhaul, service, and repair mechanical, vehicle, and marine/ship systems.
- Lead and train staff while promoting safe, efficient working practices.
- Coordinate project planning with operations managers.
- Produce accurate surveys, reports, and obtain customer sign‑offs.
- Manage waste and by‑product disposal in compliance with environmental legislation.
- Operate ultrasonic cleaning, wet blasting, and high‑pressure jet washing equipment.
- Use workshop machinery and tools for equipment refurbishment and overhaul.
- Ensure adherence to H&S, COSHH, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and company procedures.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK and overseas.
- Represent and uphold Marlin’s high standards in all interactions.

- Apply strong mechanical engineering knowledge, preferably with marine/ship systems experience.
- Hold engineering/fitting qualifications and at least one year of marine systems experience.
- Demonstrate awareness of ISO standards and confidence in customer liaison.
- Possess or be willing to undertake environmental and spill response training.
