KBR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a major Air Force Research Laboratory program. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in air‑to‑air refueling or other aircraft systems in the R&D phase, knowledge of aerial networks, software development processes, and strong communication skills.
- Apply 8+ years of software engineering experience supporting 5th‑generation fighter or modern aircraft systems in modernization/sustainment.
- Leverage knowledge of weapons‑system security engineering and cryptographic systems for rapid impact.
- Minimum 8 years recent software engineering experience with 5th‑generation fighter aircraft or modernization/sustainment programs.
- Strong background in aircraft software engineering, modernization programs, and Air Force acquisition processes.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience with Agile software development (desired).
- Prior weapons‑system security engineering and cryptographic systems experience (highly preferred).
- Proven ability to lead technical staff and manage complex modernization efforts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
