The position requires operating auxiliary and semi‑automatic equipment, using measuring tools to verify quality, assisting higher‑level operators, training lower‑level staff, handling material transport, updating shop‑floor management systems, and operating multiple machines while maintaining output.
Materials are monitored for low supply, withdrawn from stocking areas, and moved to workstations using appropriate handling equipment; the operator notifies supervisors when supplies reach reorder levels.
Quality duties include testing and inspecting products, reporting non‑conforming items, following non‑conformance procedures, isolating or reworking defective items, and entering accurate data into the quality control system.
Additional duties may involve 6S activities, workshops, meetings, and cross‑functional training. The role may require shift changes and wearing prescribed personal protective equipment.
Candidates should have basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills, good manual dexterity, ability to perform repetitive tasks, effective communication, and the ability to interpret work orders, instructions, blueprints, and drawings. They must maintain high quality standards and a positive, service‑focused attitude.
Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent and 6‑12 months of related experience; equivalent education and experience combinations are acceptable.
Compensation is $18.00 hourly plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
