We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for BESS Project in Sydney, New South Wales.
Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale Battery Storage projects (minimum 100MW)
Stakeholder management experience
Experience in design review, verification, and assessment of renewable projects
Understanding of Grid Connection Process
7+ years of detailed design/engineering experience in substation, utility-scale PV, and BESS projects
Good understanding of Substation & Renewable Energy projects, Controls & Communications System
Experience with PV and BESS system design, integration, HV & LV AC & DC side
Experience in AutoCAD or other software is key to the discipline of expertise
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
Experience with design consultant SoW drafting
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong ability to liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
Proficiency in HV substation design
Experience with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSilent)
Experience in an EPC environment managing project design scope, schedule, and budget
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NER, AEMO, and NSP regulations
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a recognized engineering qualification. An additional certificate in design is desirable
Understanding of power system analysis (load flow, short circuit, protection)
