Monitor and inspect the quality of work, ensuring it meets project requirements and industry standards.
Prepare progress reports and provide feedback to senior engineers and project managers.
Use surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels to establish accurate points, lines, and levels onsite.
Identify any discrepancies or deviations from plans and work closely with the project team to resolve them.
Ensure that all setting out equipment is maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Maintain detailed records of all setting out activities, measurements, and quality checks.
Interpret and analyze construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate setting out of construction elements.
Mark out reference points and guide construction teams to follow accurate dimensions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

2+ years of experience in setting out engineering or a similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of surveying equipment (e.g., Trimble is a must, total stations, GPS, laser levels) and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying, or related field.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites in the UK
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
