  • Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive RFPs, cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive proposals and bids.
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for leading a team of 5+ associates with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while overseeing the pre-construction phase of our projects.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
  • Prioritizing RFPs and open bid opportunities while collaborating with Construction Directors to present competitive information and estimates to clients.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector.
  • Create measurable goals for the team pertaining to pipeline, backlog, win rate, margin, bid quality, etc.
  • Collaborate with the project management and design teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-construction to construction.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth.
  • Monitor and analyze the competition to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
