The role involves handling information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non‑U.S. persons selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to export‑restricted data.
The Skilled Welder is responsible for fabricating, welding, and installing steel components used in blast‑resistant, modular and other industrial buildings. The role requires daily use of cranes, jigs, torches, plasma cutters, hand tools, and welding machines while meeting third‑party inspection requirements under AWS and CWB compliance standards. As a skilled welder, you support RedGuard’s goal of delivering quality products on time.
The physical demands and work environment described represent typical conditions for this job, and reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities. Tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and twisting throughout the day, as well as working in hot or cold, dusty, and noisy environments. The position also requires close visual acuity for reading blueprints, inspecting small defects, and operating equipment.
The position belongs to the Manufacturing division and reports to the Fabrication Supervisor. It is a full‑time, safety‑sensitive role based in Wichita, KS, with a standard work schedule, optional overtime, and less than 5 % travel.
