Welding Supervisor

Description

• Develop and implement programs and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
• Oversee your discipline activities, including procedures, equipment selection, consumable choices, and quality control measures
• Provide expert guidance and technical support to operations within the fabrication yard, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution
• Coordinate with client representatives and external stakeholders to address welding-related queries and provide technical guidance
• Train and mentor your personnel, ensuring their proficiency in welding techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with welding specifications and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes
• Proven track record of successful project execution with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Extensive experience fabrication, specifically in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore modules
• Ability to analyze complex welding issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions
