Digital Construction Engineer

We’re looking for a Digital Construction Engineer to support BIM-based information management across major projects in the UAE. Reporting directly to the Digital Construction Manager, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across both head office and project sites. You’ll help deliver BIM and digital processes that align with ALEC’s high standards and ISO 19650 principles, ensuring information is managed, coordinated, and delivered with precision.

• Support the development and upkeep of information management resources such as:
• Support the configuration and administration of ALEC’s distributed CDE (Common Data Environment) and digital collaboration tools
• Conduct QA/QC checks on BIM models and information deliverables
• Ensure full compliance with all ALEC Policies, Procedures, and Code of Conduct
• Operate within the company’s Financial & Legal Delegation of Authority
• Assist in 3D spatial coordination, and report clashes or issues to project stakeholders
• Apply discipline-specific technical knowledge to deliver accurate and high-quality outputs
• Assist in ensuring that client Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) are delivered accurately and on time
• Provide day-to-day support for BIM use cases, digital construction tools, and processes
• Contribute to the setup and operation of BIM workflows from contract award through project handover

As a Digital Construction Engineer, you will be an integral part of our digital team, helping support and deliver Building Information Modelling (BIM) and wider digital initiatives. Whether working on coordination, information management, or QA/QC of BIM data, you’ll gain hands-on experience in tools and technologies that are transforming the construction industry.

• Experience with BIM authoring tools such as Revit, Tekla, or Archicad
• Familiarity with coordination software like Navisworks or Revizto
• Awareness of ISO 19650 and Information Management (IM) processes
• 2+ years of experience in a digital construction or BIM-related role
• Understanding of automated model checking (e.g., Solibri)
• Degree in a relevant engineering or construction-related discipline
• Experience or interest in data management and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Awareness of cloud-based CDE platforms (e.g., Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with visual programming tools (e.g., Dynamo)
• Analytical, adaptable, and willing to learn continuously in the digital construction space
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset
