Director, Environmental Toxicology & Risk Science - Remote, US
Bowman Consulting
Provides engineering, planning, and consulting services across various infrastructure sectors.
Lead environmental toxicology & risk assessment team, manage projects and staff.
Provide oversight on projects to ensure that the work is executed on time, on budget, in accordance with the client’s requirements, and within company policies and procedures.
Leverage existing client relationships and firm expertise to develop adjacent industry opportunities.
Provide oversight and direction to staff on scope, schedule and budget
Manage current client projects to meet objectives.
Effectively coordinate with the finance team to support budgeting, project tracking and invoicing.
Ensure work products are quality assured.

Provide technical leadership that translates to meeting client needs
Keep current on environmental toxicology and risk assessment trends and developments to recommend changes to project approaches and position the firm for future opportunities.

Experience with agriculture, including pesticides and production agriculture practices. Experience in California is a plus.
Effective working relationship with internal leaders, peers, and clients.
Data analysis and interpretation skills.
Knowledge and background of the human and ecological risk assessment industry, including involvement in professional organizations such as Society of Toxicology (SOT), Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), International Society of Exposure Science (ISES).
Able to navigate complexity and ambiguity, connecting dots to provide clarity and direction.
Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Demonstrated experience in managing staff, developing and executing complex scopes and adhering to budgets and schedule.
Bachelor’s of Science in environmental toxicology, biology, or related field and 10 years of experience, or

High degree of discretion and ability to manage highly confidential information.
Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) a plus.
