As a Director, you will be thinking long term; establishing, planning and implementing the strategy for delivering future work. You’ll also be accountable for large-scale/complex and high-risk projects, setting out expectations, and empowering others to manage and deliver projects, ensuring client needs are met.
You will be exerting a positive influence on the performance of your business area, leading by example and inspiring others to perform at their best.
- Plan, lead and manage medium/large scale projects within the office
- Accountable for achieving financial targets within your area of the business or projects
- Support other Directors in developing client relationships in new or existing business sectors
- Lead, coordinate and agree appointments in conjunction with Risk Management Group
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing Clients and encourage repeat business opportunities
- To provide a lead role in an integrated project design team with other construction professionals.
- Provide expert technical support as part of project joint ventures within the firm
- Input to the recruitment process for the business area and carry out interviews and assist in the selection process of suitable candidates at all levels
- Lead bid preparation and coordinate tender activities with other disciplines both internally and externally
- Be accountable for the financial management, invoicing, debtor chasing, fee variations and final account settlement on projects under your direction
- Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals.
- Develop leadership and support relevant directors in strategic direction of the business
- Accountable for communicating, coordinating and managing resources to ensure successful delivery of projects

- IT literate with a technical understanding of relevant IT packages
- Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/collaborators in a design-oriented role.
- Science and research or healthcare experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills to effectively work to timescales and deadlines
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Extensive industry experience (in either a consultancy and/or contracting background)
- Qualified and recognised in industry with Chartered status
- Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
