Support the development of proposals in response to client requests for expertise, develop relationships with clients that are based on knowledge, experience and trust.
Record and interpret geological and geomorphological information from maps, reports, stratigraphic logs, air photographs, satellite imagery, geological surveys and other sources.
Conduct geohazard risk assessments for linear infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, roads, railways), mining operations, and natural resource projects.
Study the effects of landsliding, erosion, sedimentation and neo-tectonic activity on the landscape.
Participate in the study and mitigation of hazards including floods and landslides.

Demonstrated experience in understanding terrain models and specialized training in at least one aspect of Geomorphology, Engineering Geology or similar.
Expertise using specialized equipment and/or software (LiDAR, Geophysical tools, Satellite image interpretation software, GIS software, survey equipment, geological or geotechnical modelling software etc.) and willingness to take responsibility for those skills, including training other staff to use them.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce reports and proposals.
Ten years or more of relevant experience in applied geomorphology, related to the assessment of geotechnical and hydrotechnical hazards.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a relevant Engineering or Earth Sciences program with specific education, training or experience in geomorphology and geohazards.
Proficient at statistical and analytical methods of analysis with emphasis on quantitative methods in geomorphology.
Registered (or qualified to register) with the Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO)/Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and/or Order des geologues du Quebec (QGQ)/Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec (OIQ).
