Lead Business Development Manager

Leading sales and development activities for Lucy Electric's EV Infrastructure business, exceeding sales revenue and profitability targets, and fostering close relationships with senior stakeholders.
Drive the development of the company’s EV Business Development strategy and lead the implementation of sales and customer led initiatives and exceed short, medium, and long-term sales revenue and profitability targets
Provide support to the tendering and production teams in managing project orders and project delivery programmes
Represent the business on industry forums and other industry groups, acting as an ambassador for the Group
Develop new business opportunities and customer relationships to help the business meet its EV growth targets, whilst working alongside other Group companies to expand collaboration opportunities within Group customers
Support the UK Area Sales Managers in managing and converting project enquiries across its target sectors Commercial, Infrastructure, EV and Net Zero.
Foster close, respected relationships with Senior Stakeholders across the business, up to and including Board level
Lead the Business Development team to create the conditions for the maximisation of sales across the complete range of EV related power distribution products and solutions into the UK market
Assess Sales trends and patterns.
Drive specification of the Company’s products to key customer stakeholder groups such as iDNOs EV Service Providers (EVSPs), Charge Point Operators (CPOs), Consultants, Contractors, and End User Segments.
Lead the Business Development function to ensure the timely and successful implementation of new product and market initiatives into the market to support achievement of the business’s financial goals.
Leads by example and motivates people both within the team and those the team interacts with.
Manage the Sales and Business Development Team (in a matrix).
Develop Customers and Accounts.
Build new customer Leads/ Opportunities.
Forms effective relationships with key stakeholders across the matrix.
Planning activities for major trade customers.
Support the Company’s forecasting and budgeting processes, and provide timely reports in line with business processes and manager requests

Current UK driving licence.
Extensive and proven engineering sales/business development experience in the EV Infrastructure sector.
Extensive knowledge of working in sectors i.e. private networks, ICP’s, IDNO and of Channel distribution.
Strong “customer comes first” focus and delivering on commitments.
Electrical or mechanical engineering Degree preferred, or relevant equivalent qualification / proven experience within the industry.
