Do you bring expertise in professional services procurement? Join our North Sydney based team in a pivotal role responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide category strategies. You will lead procurement-driven business transformation initiatives, manage senior commercial and operational relationships within sector Business Units, and oversee strategic supplier relationships across assigned spend categories.
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide, multi-year category strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and supplier engagement strategies to optimise spend and deliver Ventia’s commercial and operational outcomes.
- Embed innovation, sustainability, resilience, and ESG objectives within category and supplier strategies.
- Support Sector BU tenders and implementation activities to enable work winning and effective resource deployment.
- Execute Group Supply Chain contract management activities, including performance measurement, risk management, and remediation of underperforming contracts.
- Analyse spend and performance data to generate actionable insights and ensure post‑deal value realisation.
- Lead procurement‑driven business change initiatives, including process improvement, technology adoption, and stakeholder engagement.
- Own supplier segmentation and SRM governance, including supplier development, performance scorecards, escalation frameworks, and risk‑sharing mechanisms.

- Extensive procurement experience, preferably in a large, complex organisation.
- Relevant degree or industry qualification (e.g., MCIPS preferred) is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage, influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of cost and revenue drivers in a service‑delivery environment.
- Deep understanding of the relationship between business strategy and category management with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Solid knowledge of contract law and commercial frameworks.
- Proven success in developing and executing category strategies.
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Highly motivated self‑starter able to prioritise effectively while managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
