Tasks

-Install and repair plumbing, piping, and tubing; wire single and three-phase motors; run conduit and pull wiring to machinery -Analyze system operations, identify root causes of malfunctions, and implement appropriate corrective actions -Document equipment repairs, maintain accurate logs, close work orders, and communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and Lead Engineer -Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on base building and critical systems with minimal disruption to facility operations -Maintain electrical controls, switching mechanisms, and motor controls to ensure reliable operation -Make necessary adjustments to maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning equipment, boilers, ventilation systems, hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping and filters -Oversee and monitor operations of refrigeration, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical systems, emergency backup systems and hot water systems -Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and heat exchangers; replace bearings and pump seals

-Team player with strong interpersonal skills -Knowledge of OSHA standards and local building codes -Consistent "meets expectations" or higher performance history -Experience in healthcare environments -Four years of experience in electrical, HVAC/refrigeration, or emergency backup systems -Strong skills in using tools and machinery required for facility maintenance -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills -Familiarity with computer equipment and maintenance software -Ability to complete painting, carpentry, and equipment repair under specific infection control conditions -High school diploma or state equivalent -Minimum of two years related trade schooling or two years of college -Physical capability to perform technical maintenance work in various environments -Effective oral and written communication abilities -Excellent customer service orientation
