In conjunction with the fleet team, ensure the coordination of equipment maintenance, repairs, and ensure availability of drilling consumables and supplies
Oversee enforcement of quality assurance procedures ensuring consistency across all crews
Attend meetings, provide updates, and ensure client satisfaction throughout all projects
Directional Drill Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the drill scheduling and project completions.
Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations as needed
Represent the organization as the senior leader to clients, regulatory inspectors, and utility stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships and project transparency
Oversee and take ownership of the operational planning and execution of all projects
Respond decisively to quality concerns, implementing corrective actions to minimize rework, schedule delays, and cost overruns
Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate with Area Supervisors and Foreman
Lead and mentor employees, fostering professional growth and operational excellence
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing lessons learned and integrating best practices into future projects
Recruit, train, and develop high-performing field personnel to support project execution
Monitor project budgets, job costs, and implement cost control measures
Provide clear leadership, targeted training, and constructive performance feedback to drive productivity and uphold the highest safety standards
Oversee mobilization and demobilization of drilling equipment
Foster and lead a culture of safety excellence through proactive team engagement and accountability
Assume ultimate responsibility for quality outcomes by monitoring project performance and proactively identifying gaps in compliance, documentation, or execution
Prepare and submit reports as required.

Post secondary training in construction Management, Business or Engineering preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
You must be comfortable navigating active work sites, adhering to strict safety protocols, and communicating effectively with on-site personnel
