An engineering and sciences services and talent solutions firm connecting specialized experts with industry projects.
The sales and business development component (60‑70% of the role) involves outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential clients, supporting account executives with lead research, market mapping, and target list creation. Interns learn to make sales calls, craft outreach messages, and nurture early‑stage relationships while assisting in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client materials. Participation in sales meetings, deal strategy sessions, pipeline reviews, and shadowing sales professionals provides exposure to the full sales cycle, and activity metrics are tracked and reported weekly.
Recruiting and talent sourcing responsibilities (30‑40% of the role) include sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and internal databases, as well as conducting resume reviews and phone screens. Interns support recruiters with interview coordination, follow‑ups, and candidate communications, and assist in writing and posting job descriptions and outreach messages. They also learn the fundamentals of the recruiting lifecycle, including client meetings, qualification, negotiations, and offer processes.
Candidates must be rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a sales‑related field, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience in customer service, campus leadership, or sales is a plus, along with a competitive, goal‑oriented mindset, strong organization, time‑management, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
The internship is an on‑site position; telecommuting is not offered.

Interns receive training, mentorship through shadowing and coaching, and work directly with local teams to deliver results that impact the business, consultants, and clients.
Program engagement is reinforced through daily and weekly learning sessions covering sales tactics, recruiting best practices, and professional development. Interns complete a capstone project presented at the end of the internship and collaborate with peers on group challenges and business simulations.
Compensation is $16.50 per hour for up to 40 hours per week over the 10‑week program. Prospects can view Actalent’s culture on Instagram and LinkedIn.
