  • Reinforce Exelon’s strategy more broadly by supporting Finance, Investor Relations, Federal Government and External Affairs, Transmission, Customer, IT, Communications and other corporate functions as needed.
  • Monitor external landscape (Policy, Technology, Customer) and identify potential corporate response, developing corporate strategies in new/emerging areas.
  • Track and communicate key policy trends outside our jurisdictions and develop recommendations on corporate positions (if required)
  • Coordinate and collaborate with business unit management (CEOs, COOs, Presidents, VPs and Directors) to develop and implement strategy and policy.
  • Provide direct support to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability.
  • Lead Exelon strategy development and articulation to the Board and Executive Committee working with Corporate and OpCo teams.
  • Identify opportunities to advance Exelon’s strategy through the energy delivery functions including, but not limited to, technology solutions, industry-leading practices & new capabilities required.
  • Prepare research and analysis to assist the development of policy strategy and responses across OpCo’s
  • Facilitate cross-OpCo discussion to ensure alignment on common policy priorities
  • Represent Exelon to the community and industry, including serving on community or industry boards, and maintaining relationships with community, business and political leaders
  • Span of control: Manages combination of individual contributors and other managers as the team hits milestones/stage gates and adds contributors
  • In collaboration with the OpCo’s develop state policy positions in new and emerging areas
  • Supervisory duties: Strategic initiatives, projects, planning activities (budget, headcount, etc) plus strategic input to Senior level decisions
  • Provide leadership to the Corporate Strategy team. Provide timely and accurate feedback regarding performance and operations
  • Develop common tools that analyzes the financial/economic issues of key policy or market impacts across the OpCp’s
  • Provide strategic support to senior company leadership and executives on issues that can have significant financial impact and projects/programs that will impact the company for over the long term.
  • Develop internal capabilities to assess the potential impact of market or policy developments on energy and capacity pricing in PJM.
  • Perform analysis, prepare reports, and develop and deliver recommendations to senior company leadership.
  • Develop, lead and manage large cross-enterprise projects of strategic importance
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate new business models, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Provide analytical support to OpCo’s for emergent issues
  • Engage in mentorship opportunities within the Exelon Employee Resource Groups (“ERGs”)
  • Develop and manage external relationships with customers, non-government environmental organizations, and other environmental stakeholders.
  • Develop relationships with technology providers aligned with organization strategy, and if needed, support and pursue internal projects
  • Monitor landscape of energy market developments and through analysis recommend corporate/OpCo responses.

  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Experience navigating federal and state-level policy landscapes related to energy and digital infrastructure.
  • The position requires a self-motivated individual willing to take on a broad range of responsibilities and make decisions in a manner consistent with Exelon values.
  • Deep understanding of transmission, distribution business and associated regulatory processes
  • Familiarity with Exelon’s operating companies and service territories.
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., science, engineering, law, public policy or business).
  • Executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A minimum of 15 or more years of broad management experience in utility operations, data center development, or infrastructure strategy.
  • Experience in regulated utilities and/or unregulated energy services company.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional environments with a track record of delivering complex, high-impact projects. Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to formulate and execute business development and sales programs.
  • Quality experience in managing in line and matrix organizational structures; developing and implementing corporate programs; leading cross-functional teams; providing strategic support to senior management; communicating internally and externally; managing stakeholder relationships; supervising staff; business planning, managing organizational performance; contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
