Description

• Integrate and enforce PCL’s safety program across site plans, procedures, and records
• Supervise, direct, coach, train, and mentor the project team and reports
• Communicate with trades and forces to meet performance, productivity, quality, and safety goals
• Collaborate with construction/project manager to anticipate and resolve problems, interferences, and schedule setbacks
• Coordinate between field engineers, estimators, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Liaise with clients, site contractors, unions, labor relations, and site/office representatives
• Visualize the entire project, create the full schedule, identify critical path, and anticipate constructability issues
• Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan and three‑week look‑ahead schedules
• Maintain project plan and schedule, ensuring budget and quality compliance
• Review contracts and subcontracts, formulate risk mitigation plans, and achieve financial targets
• Manage project administration correspondence and documentation requirements
• Build and maintain strong, customer‑focused relationships with all stakeholders

Requirements

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related field
• Minimum five years of progressive field supervision experience
• Proven ability to supervise a construction workforce
• In‑depth knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, and procedures
• Understanding of project scope and ability to apply basic engineering principles to plans and schedules
• Proficiency with scheduling software and logical schedule development
• Ability to coordinate multiple scopes, including three‑week look‑ahead schedules for own forces and trade contractors
• Strong grasp of productivity rates, labor cost reports, and cost interpretation
• Skill in completing material, labor, and equipment takeoffs
• Experience interpreting contract language, identifying risks, and leveraging opportunities
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and best practices
• Ability to lead effective site meetings and present to clients or project pursuit teams
• Demonstrated conflict‑resolution, problem‑solving, and professional judgment
• Capability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems
