Tasks

● Drafting of surveys ● Coordinate with project managers to complete scope of project ● Complete regular inventory and maintenance of surveying equipment, tools and vehicles ● Manage two-person survey crew in daily field assignments ● Transfer files between data collectors and internal company files ● Operate GPS, total stations, robots and data collectors Our team is seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief to supervise field operations in our survey department. This position will lead a survey team in the field collecting data for boundary and topographic surveys, as-built surveys and construction staking/layout. ● Read and interpret construction plans and documents, perform calculations, review data and keep accurate and detailed field notes as well as completing field data file transfers

What You Bring

● Proficient with Leica GPS, Sokia Robot w/Carlson Controller, Topcon GPS/Robot ● Ability to lead a survey crew or work solo ● Ability to independently perform tasks and solve problems ● Ability to work in all outdoor weather conditions ● Valid MN driver’s license and clean driving history ● Associates Degree in Surveying Technology or a Land Surveying Certificate ● AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience ● 3 years surveying and 2+ years’ experience as crew chief ● Ability to walk long distances ● Basic Microsoft Office computer skills ● Ability to move in and around construction sites and field assignments ● Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment in urban and rural areas ● Ability to operate a total station, GPS and robot
