Tasks

-Coordinate the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure consistent application across global entities. -Support the preparation of financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. -Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to address accounting issues, policy updates, and audit requirements. -Lead the evaluation of complex accounting transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP technical standards. -Serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert across Colliers, advising on diverse and high-impact financial matters. -Develop and deliver clear communications and training on accounting policy changes, emerging standards, and ESG reporting impacts.

What You Bring

-Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong relationship-building and project management skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA designation is required. -Proven ability to advise senior leadership on complex accounting issues and policy applications. -Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical accounting, including research and memo preparation. -Deep expertise in US GAAP and advanced accounting principles. -Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—with the ability to engage across all organizational levels. -This position is a hybrid role based out of our Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON office.***
