Electrical Foreman

Description

The Electrical Foreman role in Cedar Rapids, IA, leads testing, safety oversight, documentation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in commercial properties, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards and maintaining equipment and work‑area housekeeping.

• Test electrical systems with appropriate tools to identify issues.
• Oversee system safety and ensure compatibility.
• Document testing results, observations, diagnoses, and corrective actions.
• Assess and troubleshoot electrical situations using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following company guidelines and OSHA requirements; report violations to supervisor.
• Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties.
• Maintain equipment in good condition to ensure safe operation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Utilize required tools and equipment for each specific task.
• Develop and monitor construction schedules, adjusting as necessary.
• Direct or contribute to installation and troubleshooting processes.
• Coordinate manpower needs and lead cross‑functional communications.
• Manage material orders after completing competitive price comparisons.
• Maintain compliance with company, state, and OSHA safety standards.
• Provide medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage for all employees.

Requirements

• Bend conduit ranging from ½" to 4" as needed.
• Possess at least 10 years of electrical trade experience, including 4 years leading mission‑critical projects and teams.
• Preferred certifications: NCCER, NFPA, or OSHA.
