Schedule Integration

• Participate and/or lead supplier competitive bids (RFP).
• Coordinate with logistics providers to manage transportation, import/export, and site delivery of critical equipment.
• Develop and maintain long lead equipment tracking logs.
• Elevate potential issues early and support recovery planning with vendors and construction teams.
• Generate regular status reports on equipment procurement and delivery risk.
• Develop metrics and monitor supplier performance utilizing supplier scorecards.
• Identify critical path items and work proactively to mitigate delays.
• Participate in equipment package strategy sessions with design teams and trade partners.
• Plan for site access, laydown, and rigging requirements in coordination with construction teams.
• Track manufacturing progress and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and OEM vendors to define procurement schedules aligned with design milestones.
• Facilitate technical reviews, vendor submittals, and long-lead procurement kick-off meetings.
• Reconcile inventory and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Integrate equipment delivery timelines into the master construction schedule.
• Participate and/or lead supplier/customer meetings.
• Serve as the point of contact between project teams and long lead equipment vendors.
• Work with local and global commodity managers and buyers to drive cost reduction.

Requirements

WWPS seeks a Procurement Lead to join our growing team in Chandler, AZ. The successful candidate will have various experience related to Project Controls and Procurement, including Cost Engineering, Forecasting, Earned Value Management, Bid Phase Management, Subcontract Management, and Bid Evaluation. The successful candidate must possess solid technical, organizational, communication skills, and proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have a work history that represents increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis.

Local candidates highly preferred. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.

• Minimum of 7-10 years’ related work experience as a Construction Procurement Specialist.
• Working knowledge of construction schedules, vendor processes, and project controls.
• Familiarity with semiconductor facility systems such as process tools, HVAC, UPW, CDA, chillers, scrubbers, electrical switchgear, etc.
• Work within a team atmosphere focused on superior internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Fully versed with Cost Controls principles and techniques
• Requires ability to work on construction sites and coordinate with multiple trades and disciplines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop and implement Earned Value Management
• Must be able to sit and/or stand most of the day as may be required in a typical office environment.
• BS/BA Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another construction related subject or a non-cost BS/BA degree and additional cost estimating experience or equivalent experience.
• Specialized skills and proficiency with project/program controls software
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication
• Fast-paced, collaborative environment with frequent interaction across engineering, construction, and vendor teams.
• Proven experience managing long-lead equipment packages.
