Description

The Tanker Driver delivers cement in a timely and professional manner, while ensuring the safe and technically proficient operation of the vehicle.

• Fill in for colleagues (at other locations) as needed.
• Always get out and inspectjobsite before entering. Safely maneuver truck anddeliverat thedesignated destination.ContactCustomer Service/Dispatch when problems arise toresolve.
• Climb repetitivelyin and out of the truck and climb up ladders.
• Complete minor vehicle maintenance, such as chippingcement(exterior)and adding oil.
• Follow all environmental regulations and clean up any excess material that could cause environmental problems.
• Perform allpreand post-trip inspections andcomplete daily inspection reports.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.Follow proper procedures and complete required documentationifan accident or injury occurs. NotifyManager,Customer Service/Dispatch or Safety Department asrequired.
• Clean all equipment at the end of the dayincluding thetruck bed,cab, windows, rotors, and axles.
• Utilize iPadand radioto relay messages to Dispatchand accessdeliverytickets. KeepCustomer Service/Dispatch informed of all relevant information and problems.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and outside labor as requested by the Manager, which may include, but not limited to,cleaning uparound the plant, sweeping, shoveling, moving wheelbarrows, picking up equipment or supplies.
• Follow procedures and recognize problems that should be fixed prior to driving to the job site.
• Assistas needed in the training process with new hires.
• Ensure that the customer understands all forms to be signed and make sure to receive the proper signature from the customer on the delivery ticket and any other pertinent release forms, including receipt ofmaterials, COD charges, additionsrequested, etc.

Education Required: High School

• CPR/First Aid (preferred).
• Smith Driving System (must obtain within 1 year of assuming position).
• Close proximityto moving mechanical parts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• ValidCDL ClassALicensewith Airbrakes with a clean driving record.
• Written communication,verbal communication, and basic mathematical skills.
• Exposure to chemicals such as concrete,chemical admixtures,truckcleaner, fuel,greaseand oil.
• Exposure todust and fumes/offensive smellsin the field.
• Situp to 11hours per day,standup to but not limited to 5hours per day, walk 3hours per day, and kneel, squat, and climb the other 1 hour per day.
• Experience and/or formal trainingoperatinga CDL vehicle preferred.
• Experienceoperatinga front-end loader or other heavy equipment preferred.
• Lift a maximum weight of100lbs., repetitively lift 50 lbs., carry approximately 50 lbs., and push/pull50 lbs., and pinch/grip approximately 25 lbs.
• ValidDOTphysical and certification.
• Delivercement using a tractor and tankertodesignatedlocationsin a safe andtimelymanner.
• Understand andcomply withall safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies (FMCSR, DOT, etc.).NotifyManagerand the SafetyDepartmentimmediatelyof any potential or current safety problems.
• Basic computer knowledge. Ability to learn and use the company dispatch system, iPad,GoogleMapsand company software applications.
• Operate loaderas needed(if qualified).
