The supervisor leads planning personnel, handling staffing and performance management while overseeing all planning activities. This role coordinates work processes with craft personnel, Work Control, engineering, suppliers, line management, and vendors, and also supports electrical and mechanical planning. A personal commitment to safety and quality is emphasized throughout.
Key duties include direct oversight of planning, communication with management, crafts and clients, and collaboration with the Electrical AHJ for compliance modifications. The supervisor performs planning, estimating, work‑package development, lockout/tag‑out authority, preventive‑maintenance management, and ensures the Work Control process flows correctly. Additional responsibilities involve supervising staff, ordering materials, field oversight of work packages, equipment inspections, and adherence to safety, security, and ES&H policies.
Candidates must have at least an associate’s degree in an electrical or mechanical field or equivalent experience, plus five years of related experience with two to four years in a supervisory role. Required qualifications include NFPA 70E training, knowledge of hoisting and rigging, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and familiarity with a computer maintenance management system such as SOMAX. Strong communication, mathematical, reasoning, and office‑equipment skills are also essential, and applicants must be able to obtain a DOE “L” clearance.
