• Facilitate customer orders at the City Desk.
• Assist customers with product inquiries in a professional manner.
• Write and fill orders accurately and promptly.
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as needed.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
• Collaborate with sales team members to resolve service issues.
• Restock the counter area by product brand and location.
• Monitor inventory and remove damaged product.
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display.
• Identify and encourage additional product sales.

Requirements

DSG is seeking a Plumbing and HVAC Counter Sales Associate in our Helena, MT location. This full‑time, hourly role typically runs from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, though hours may vary according to business needs. The Counter Sales Associate will assist customers at the City Desk with order placement, fulfillment, and various warehouse duties as needed.

• 2+ years of college/technical school or 3‑5 years field experience with plumbing/HVAC products.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills across in‑person, phone, and email.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask.
• Active listening to determine customer needs.
• Superior problem‑solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• High computer proficiency; experience with Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively.
