Senior Project Controls Manager

Description

• Reduce uncertainty on projects by adapting project methodology;
• Monitor and consolidate project plans
• Undertake project reviews;
• Project reporting including monitoring of KPIs;
• Support project managers in maintaining effective and timely change management processes
• Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements;

Requirements

• Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors and clients
• PMO experience
• Analytical skills to prepare and critically evaluate performance measures (inc. earned value) and trends across multiple datasets
• Experience in Designing, Mobilising and Leading large project, programme and/or portfolio management functions
• Knowledge or and experience using PowerBI
• Educated to degree level and/or hold a project controls or management qualification (e.g. APMG
• Risk management and reporting including the use of ARM
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Comfortable working as a consultant within a client environment;
• Knowledge and proficiency with Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project and/or other planning and resourcing software;
• Able to coordinate and work with other teams and have basic multi-disciplinary knowledge;
• A background working on large scale infrastructure projects in sectors including, but not limited to water, transport, nuclear, defence
• Experience of implementing robust project controls processes and toolsets in relevant industries
• Good people management and task facilitation skills
• Ability to focus on key issues, and drive out mitigating or recovery actions across the project
• Planning and Controls, EVM, PMQ, Prince2)
