Conduct appropriate NDE tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDE methods of inspection

Must maintain valid NDT Level II certification status
Reporting to the Quality Manager and taking day to day direction from the department Lead or other delegated authority, the Non Destructive Evaluations (NDE) Technician II will perform day to day activities to include calibrations, NDT practical work, as well as, Non Destructive Evaluations/reporting of results. The Level II Technician accepts and rejects according to known procedures, specifications, and applicable standards. The Level II NDE Technician must also be familiar with the scope and limitations of NDT applications and test method being used. NDE Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment.
2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility using applicable NDE application and methods
§ Eddy Current “ET” or Ultrasonic “UT”
Technical school or NDE courses taken are a plus.
Ability to properly perform calibrations
Analytical skills with good judgment to interpret and evaluate results
Proven written communication skills
Knowledge of ASTM NDE and ISO standards
