Demonstrated performance in network engineering technology, with expertise in network device, configuration, able to easily navigate the CLI, deploy applicable patches, and make configuration changes as needed.
Expertise in Cloud Orchestration and management of network devices
Expertise in working with & troubleshooting cloud network technologies such as ExpressRoute and Azure Virtual Networks (with IL-2 or higher experience a plus) and an understanding of how these interact with traditional network technology through on-prem and network virtual appliances.
Understanding of DoD network security policies and methodologies and ability to implement them across the enterprise.
Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
Strong communication skills and experience using ticketing.
Expertise with WAN/Transport and IP routing technologies and protocols, candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN in order to support ongoing maintenance and operation projects.
Candidates must be detail oriented, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and to present complex and technical concepts to non-technical team members.
An ability to learn new technologies quickly
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Field or related discipline with 5+ years working experience in an enterprise network engineering role OR 9+ Years work experience in an enterprise network engineering role
