The Senior Data Center Facility Manager will lead the Ashburn facility operations team, overseeing critical infrastructure, planning and executing upgrades, and developing tools, processes, and a safety culture to scale operations effectively. This role manages 24x7 engineering staff and ensures high‑availability service delivery.
- Oversee all critical physical infrastructure to maintain high availability and performance.
- Manage 24x7 engineering teams, providing guidance, training, and leadership.
- Lead improvement projects from conception through completion, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as escalation point for facility issues and respond to out‑of‑hours emergency calls.
- Supervise operation of switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, and building monitoring systems.
- Conduct site capacity management and participate in new facility/infrastructure design.
- Direct incident management, communication, root‑cause analysis, and resolution approvals.
- Enforce safety procedures and foster a strong safety culture.

- 10+ years of management experience in technology and critical facility operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to develop high‑performing leaders in a 24/7 environment.
- Strategic thinker with strong tactical execution skills.
- Experience in project management and vendor partnership management.
- Deep knowledge of data‑center power and cooling systems and relevant codes/standards (EHS, OSHA).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
- Experience collaborating across functional teams.
Benefits
The targeted base salary for this position in Washington, DC ranges from $114,000 to $170,000 annually, with eligibility for bonus and potential equity based on experience, skills, and education.
