Field Service Engineer - Automation Industry

Description

• Perform on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks to support data center startups.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems in food and beverage industries.
• Collaborate with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on site.
• Communicate clear updates to customers and project teams to ensure smooth progress.
• Travel on rotating schedules (e.g., 5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, or 14 on‑7 off) to diverse project locations.
• Work with a variety of customers, gaining real‑world experience with large companies while supported by the ProAutomated team.

• Demonstrate a genuine love of travel and willingness to be away from home on rotation.
• Possess working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking (preferred).
• Show adaptability, grit, and the ability to thrive when plans change.
• Exhibit strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Reside within 50 mi of a major airport (relocation assistance available) and have a personal vehicle available within 45 days of employment.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Hold a technical degree or equivalent 3+ years hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Meet physical requirements: walk long distances, climb ladders or work at heights, lift up to 50 lb, and stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods in varied environments.
