The role offers the opportunity to shape and expand Westwood’s water resources engineering services across Texas markets, including Austin. The Local Service Lead will be responsible for steering the practice toward excellence, fostering innovation, and improving efficiency while working in a collaborative, thriving environment.

• Partner with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for short- and long-term growth.
• Lead service-specific proposal efforts, providing technical expertise and driving innovation in project approaches.
• Monitor industry trends to enhance service offerings and project delivery methods.
• Uphold high standards for work products, including design standards and project reports, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Provide project management, team building, and technical leadership.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies and build client relationships.
• Travel as needed to project sites and Westwood offices nationwide.

Requirements

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Local Service/Project Manager Lead for its San Antonio, Texas office. This leadership position will drive and grow the firm’s water resources engineering practice, focusing on strategic planning, team development, innovation, and collaboration to strengthen market presence and technical excellence. Ideal candidates will bring over eight years of progressive design, management, and business‑development experience, including at least six years dedicated to water resources, and be a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Texas or eligible for licensure within six months.

• Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Use Microsoft Office proficiently and apply deep understanding of water resources consulting.
• Demonstrate proven operations, business development, and technical project management experience in water resources.
• Possess 8+ years of progressive experience in design, management, and business development.
• Have 6+ years of water resources engineering experience.
• Preferable water resources experience in San Antonio, TX.
• Hold or obtain Texas Professional Civil Engineer licensure within six months.
