Provides technical expertise for multiple application technologies that span lines of business and impact software, data, network/communication, and computing platform technologies.
Researches and collaborates with Business Partner, Business Systems Analyst, Resource Managers, and Architects in tactical and long-term road-mapping, RFI, RFPs and new/enhanced system capabilities to ensure alignment of business and IT requirements.
Operates as a key participant at the departmental level in line organization initiatives, tactics and strategies to act as a liaison from the line organizations to IT for continued development of the internal systems.

Familiarity with electricity and natural gas trading and risk management operations and systems.
Four (4) years of direct work experience as a systems administrator or developer for at least one energy trading and risk management software (PCI, OATI, Endur, Allegro, SunGard, FIS, TriplePoint, etc).
Bachelor’s degree in finance, information systems, or other closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Ability to work effectively without direct supervision in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Eight (8) years of work experience to include four (4) years as a quantitative analyst, systems analyst/support, or trader in the energy industry.
Ten (10) years of energy industry experience, preferably in a systems analyst, quantitative analyst, or trading role.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills.
Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
Experience working with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
Knowledge of western natural gas and power markets.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Direct systems/administrative experience with PowerCosts, Inc. (PCI) ETRM software and solutions.
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and model a customer-focused service attitude.
Extensive knowledge of multiple functional environments, active business processes, business areas, as well as industry.
Proactively involved in developing an overall IT strategy via direct experience in tactical projects and specific user requirements.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and effectively multi-task.
Experience facilitating interactive design and functional specification sessions.
Familiarity with Python, JAVA, or SQL.
