  • Liaise with the Fleet, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate internal processes are followed and continuously improved.
  • Manage claims intake, investigation, assessment, and resolution.
  • Monitor and review open claims to ensure timely closure and effective cost control.
  • Supervise and support a team of claims handlers/administrators
  • Coordinate with fleet managers, drivers, and vehicle repairers to process claims efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all claims and prepare regular reports on claims activity, trends, costs, and performance indicators.
  • Support driver training, fleet safety initiatives, and accident reduction strategies through insights derived from claims data.
  • Ensure thorough investigation, documentation, and legal compliance
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy standards in claims handling.
  • Handle uninsured loss recovery with the companies nominated 3rd party provider.
  • Liaise with insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, repairers, and legal representatives.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of motor insurance claims, from FNOL (First Notification of Loss) through to settlement.
  • Review on hire documentation and assess against damage estimations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant insurance laws, industry regulations, and case law.
  • Analyse claims data to identify patterns, recommend improvements, and support risk management initiatives.
  • Manage incidents involving company or client vehicles, including own damage and third-party claims.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Qualified within Insurance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles, liability law, and policy interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing motor and public liability insurance claims.
  • Risk management or legal training background
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience liaising with insurers, legal teams, and third-party administrators.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
  • Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience in managing motor insurance claims for a large commercial fleet (1,000+ vehicles desirable).
