The Safety Manager will lead the safety program across all construction activities, advising field teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, developing training curricula, and overseeing the lockout/tagout program to protect critical infrastructure.
- Lead the safety program on the mission‑critical campus and coordinate with the General Superintendent and field managers.
- Serve as technical advisor to safety professionals, field supervision, and subcontractors.
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve safety and health programs.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulatory rules and laws.
- Create and deliver safety training courses and sessions.
- Oversee the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, ensuring code compliance and establishing centralized procedures.
- Communicate LOTO impacts to field managers and project management to protect data‑center operations.
- Participate in high‑risk activity planning and review of statements of work, SOPs, and MOPs.
- Verify qualifications, training, and PPE for personnel performing work.
- Investigate serious accidents and incidents, analyze data, and develop preventive measures.
- Collect and review accident and near‑miss root‑cause analyses from vendors and subcontractors.
- Manage all claims (workers’ compensation, property, liability, auto) and coordinate return‑to‑work processes.
- Report claims to the Claims Administrator, Corporate Safety Director, and Mission Critical Safety Director.
- Maintain statistical accident data, prepare regulatory reports, and disseminate safety performance metrics.
- Develop databases for safety analytics to support zero‑incident initiatives.
- Lead project and corporate safety committees.
- Conduct safety and health program evaluations and advise on regulatory compliance.
- Perform regular safety inspections of job sites, equipment, and materials to identify hazards.
- Provide training and technical support on safety topics for mission‑critical projects.
- Implement company drug and alcohol testing programs.
- Administer medical treatment coordination for injured workers.
- Interface with OSHA during inspections and consultation visits.
- Assist with OSHA compliance inspections and coordinate citation meetings.
- Work independently while managing other safety personnel on the project.

- Maintain current First Aid‑CPR‑AED certification.
- Prefer a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational safety, risk management, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to temporarily relocate to the project location.
