Our Dock & Door Technicians, called Service Professionals, form the core of preventative and emergency response services. They travel to diverse sites—commercial buildings, aircraft hangars, schools, fire and police departments—to troubleshoot complex equipment issues. A typical day may involve fixing a hospital garage door one hour and repairing loading‑dock equipment at a large warehouse the next.
Service Professionals provide hands‑on customer care by troubleshooting, servicing, inspecting, installing, and repairing industrial equipment of all sizes. They maintain accurate paper and digital work orders, drive a company vehicle to multiple customer sites, and uphold safety and OSHA compliance.
Miner offers four Service Professional levels, allowing you to start where your current skills best align and advance as you gain experience. Each level builds on mechanical understanding, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, and leadership capabilities.
Candidates should have 2‑4 years of relevant experience, be able to repair doors, loading docks, and dock levelers, and possess strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. A willingness to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work is valued, as are hydraulic and pneumatic experience, technical school training, OEM certifications, a clean driving record, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Miner provides a competitive compensation package that includes quarterly bonus incentives, uniform and boot allowance, a company‑issued truck, autonomy, PTO, paid holidays, and a full benefits suite from day one covering medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and more.
