Safety Specialists collaborate with field staff, clients, subcontractors, management, and external organizations throughout all phases of electric construction projects. They are dedicated to enforcing safety policies, procedures, and regulations while building positive professional relationships. This location‑based role covers worksites across the assigned project area and involves regular travel, including overnight trips.
Key duties include conducting regular site visits to monitor safety behaviors, creating site‑specific safety plans with Operations teams, and participating in safety and project meetings. Specialists ensure compliance with client requirements, local, state, and federal regulations, and coach personnel on safe practices. They also perform behavior‑based observations, coordinate training programs, investigate accidents, manage corrective actions, and support safety committees while maintaining regular attendance and adhering to the company's Code of Conduct.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles and a high school diploma or GED; a safety certification and an undergraduate degree in Safety Management are preferred. Required skills include problem‑solving, bilingual English/Spanish ability, MS Office proficiency, strong communication, and thorough knowledge of OSHA and related regulations. Applicants should be detail‑oriented, organized, able to work independently and in teams, understand electric construction practices, and be willing to travel for extended site visits.
The position offers a salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 per year, paid weekly, with a two‑day remote work option for eligible non‑field roles.
