A global engineering & nuclear services firm delivering end‑to‑end infrastructure and energy solutions.
Your duties will include supporting bid preparation through activity schedules and case studies, applying governance processes to manage technical risk, and producing design documentation such as diagrams and substantiation reports. You will also provide visible leadership within the Nuclear EMEA technical community and mentor early‑career colleagues to grow the C&I capability.
In this role you will establish a new C&I team in Manchester, complementing our existing core engineering disciplines and expanding capabilities in engineering management, technology solutions, and robotics. As technical lead, you will manage single‑discipline teams with minimal oversight, ensuring solutions meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
A demonstrable understanding of C&I engineering across the project lifecycle is required, including control system architecture, instrumentation specification, PID, model‑predictive and advanced process control, and functional safety standards such as BS EN 61508/61511. Experience with PLC programming, fieldbus protocols, and low‑voltage electrical design, including EMC precautions and power supply characteristics, is also essential.
We are looking for an innovator who encourages experimentation and new ideas, an improver who streamlines processes and tools, and a collaborative team player who works effectively with market colleagues, the broader business, and senior leadership.
We offer competitive salaries, a comprehensive rewards package, flexible hybrid working, tailored benefits for health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle choices, and extensive training and professional development opportunities. The role may require UK security clearance, and we champion an inclusive, family‑friendly culture with equal‑opportunity hiring practices.
