CAD Technician

Description

• Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.
• Assist with a range of projects and collaborate with multiple project engineers.
• Convert verbal and written information into detailed computer-generated drawings.
• Operate a plotter to transfer developed drawings to an appropriate medium.
• Ensure all computer-generated drawings conform to established standards and procedures.
• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD based on sketches, engineering information, and verbal instructions.
• Maintain schedules and manage deadlines efficiently.
• Review completed work for accuracy and completeness before submission to engineers.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills for minor adjustments.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
• High school diploma or technical school training required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Experience in 3D CAD Drafting, particularly in Civil and Mechanical disciplines.
• Knowledge of GIS software is beneficial.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a focus on civil type drawings.
