Experienced Geomatics Survey Crew Chief responsible for performing and leading various types of surveys such as control, boundary/ALTA, topographic, and transportation-related surveys.
Maintain documentation of all phases of survey work
Use public records in execution of survey field work
Maintain proper care of survey equipment
Direct, assist and perform related Control surveys, Boundary/ALTA surveys, Topographic surveys, Construction and post construction surveys, and transportation-related surveys.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Possess excellent communication skills
Proficient in operation of auto level equipment
High school diploma or GED
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying/Engineering or related field helpful, but not required
Experience with MassDOT projects preferred
Proficient in reading, understanding, and evaluating the significance of survey, right-of-way, engineering, and architectural drawings with respect to each survey project
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) desirable, but not required
Must be willing to travel and stay overnight for assignments outside local area (anticipated to be less than 15% of assignments)
Experience with Microstation, Inroads and OpenRoads desirable, but not required
Ability to perform tasks independently and to assign and review work of others
Proficient in operation of total station with electronic data collecting capability
Knowledge of GPS equipment preferred, but not required
Proficient in field survey methods and techniques
