  • Maintain documentation of all phases of survey work

  • Maintain proper care of survey equipment
  • Direct, assist and perform related Control surveys, Boundary/ALTA surveys, Topographic surveys, Construction and post construction surveys, and transportation-related surveys.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D desirable
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Proficient in fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry
  • 5+ years of progressive professional land surveying experience
  • Team oriented with strong capability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in operation of auto level equipment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying/Engineering or related field helpful, but not required
  • Experience with MassDOT projects preferred
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and evaluating the significance of survey, right-of-way, engineering, and architectural drawings with respect to each survey project
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) desirable, but not required
  • Must be willing to travel and stay overnight for assignments outside local area (anticipated to be less than 15% of assignments)
  • Experience with Microstation, Inroads and OpenRoads desirable, but not required
  • Ability to perform tasks independently and to assign and review work of others
  • Proficient in operation of total station with electronic data collecting capability
  • Knowledge of GPS equipment preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in field survey methods and techniques
