Integrate innovative engineering and design practices into projects, focusing on enhancing safety, functionality, and sustainability in tunnel and portal designs.
Manage the design lifecycle for multiple tunnel and portal projects, from concept through completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Conduct detailed reviews of design plans, perform site inspections, and promptly address any issues to ensure quality and consistency across all projects.
Ensure that all designs comply with local and international safety standards, including seismic, fire, and ventilation requirements.

Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in tunnel and underground structures design, including hands-on project management.
Familiarity with relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or specialized tunneling software (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in underground projects design and construction activities/projects in Ontario
Previous experience working with Design Joint Ventures (DJV) and Construction Joint Ventures (CJV) is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE).
Proficiency in tunnel and portal design, including knowledge of various construction methodologies (e.g., cut-and-cover, bored tunnels).
Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
Proven track record in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex design processes in infrastructure projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in design and schedule software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, MP)
Strong understanding of geotechnical and structural analysis, with experience in risk assessment and safety standards for underground construction.
