The role involves leading daily quarry operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production activities. It includes coordinating and supporting team members to meet production, quality, and safety goals, monitoring equipment, materials, and processes to optimize performance, enforcing safety policies, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead teams and oversee operational activities in an industrial setting, with a strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. They should be able to coordinate workflows, prioritize tasks, adapt to changing conditions, and possess effective communication and problem‑solving skills, as well as working knowledge of quarry or heavy industrial operations and equipment.
Successful candidates must pass a post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, and background check, with some positions requiring FMCSA‑regulated ongoing testing. The work environment includes moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
