Certified Non-Destructive Test - Florescent Penetrant Inspection (2nd shift)

Perform fluorescent penetrant inspections and pressure testing on aerospace fuel components.
Maintain certification in good standing per responsible level III
Set up and conduct processes involving liquid penetrants and chemical etch inspection to detect, evaluate, and report on defects such as, porosity, cracks, and other discontinuities. NAS STD 410 and ASTME 1417.
Oversee training of less experienced employees in FPI techniques
Perform minor machine maintenance
Complete an Eaton approved training program within 30 days.
Maintain all required logs, documents, and records as required by the Certified Operator Program
Perform local etch prior to re-inspection, if needed
Set up, adjust, and control electronic equipment such as ultraviolet devices to evaluate material contents, bonds, surface and sub-surface flows and discontinuities to the specifications outlined by written procedure or verbal instruction.
Perform various Non-Destructive Testing such as, Florescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Pressure Testing
May be required to set-up and perform pressure testing on a variety of parts per standard operating procedures
Move material within the cell
Perform more than one operation at a time as directed by the supervisor
Generate and maintain all required logs and records as prescribed by customer or MIL Specs including lab reports, logbooks, non-conformance reports (NCRs), records, etc.

Ability to read and understand specifications, SOPs and acceptance criteria
Must apply basic math skills, read and interpret complex blueprints and geometric symbols to identify inspection requirements, and select proper measuring devices.
Pass an Eaton vision test.
Must have at least one (1) year FPI inspection experience
Same as above with the exception of forty (40) hours of classroom training instead of one (1) year FPI inspection experience
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Become certified FPI Level II inspector within 12 months (provided training is made available)

An employee who fails the Level II FPI Certification may have the opportunity to re-test after the completion of an additional documented 200 hours of training or less, as deemed necessary by the responsible level III.
