• Lead small to medium design projects from start to completion with minimal oversight.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently and meet project deadlines.
• Maintain client‑focused relationships by attending meetings and ensuring good cooperation.

Requirements

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer COOP to join our team on a temporary full‑time basis in our Calgary and BC offices. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process.

Preference will be given to candidates who can stay for eight months or longer. As a condition of employment, successful applicants agree to undergo a Backcheck screening, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check.

• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards.
• Use structural design software like STAAD‑Pro; AutoCAD experience is beneficial.
• Integrate strong understanding of safety‑in‑design principles.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, producing concise technical documents.
• Be a minimum 3rd‑ or 4th‑year student in a Civil/Structural engineering program.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
