What you would be doing

Quality Assurance: Verify product quality against established control specifications to ensure consistency and compliance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of tests, inspections, and any deviations, ensuring that all quality control documentation is up-to-date.
Testing and Analysis: Conduct ACI testing in Ready Mix plants and ASTM/AASHTO testing in Cement plants, following specification sheets and reporting findings to supervisors.
Support and Maintenance: Assist with clean-up activities and perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support plant operations.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Cemex, OSHA, and MSHA regulations, including wearing required safety equipment and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
Material Testing: Perform testing on pit material, military base jobs, raw material, finished products, and product intermediaries.

Educational Foundation: An associate’s degree in applied science or a related field.
Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing work conditions and priorities.
Dynamic Environment: You’ll work in diverse environments, including exposure to varying conditions such as outdoor industrial operations settings.
Physical Requirements: Expect frequent walking, sitting, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pushing, pulling, and climbing as part of your daily routine.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer use, including quality software and Microsoft Excel. Strong numerical skills and familiarity with scientific laboratory practices.
Professional Demeanor: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of experience with a strong understanding of ASTM standards and quality control practices. Desirable ASTM certification within the first year of employment.
