- Conducting competence assessments to ensure safe and compliant operational performance
- Supervising and monitoring colleagues during training to ensure safety and performance standards
- Supporting the development of training programmes for new and existing wastewater treatment roles
- Advising on the creation and management of technical Standard Operating Procedures, Asset Care Plans, and Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining relationships with accrediting bodies like Energy & Utility Skills
- Capturing and acting on delegate feedback to continuously improve training delivery
- Designing and delivering blended learning solutions mapped to water industry frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with Health & Safety partners and subject matter experts to review and enhance training content
- Building training plans that cover both initial and refresher needs across the business
- Producing lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment criteria for internal programmes

- Demonstrable experience in Wastewater Treatment operations
- Familiarity with competence frameworks and regulatory standards
- Time-served or qualified to BTEC, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent level
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of experience
- Experience developing and assessing technical competence and training content
- Working towards or holding a recognised teaching or assessor qualification
- Strong knowledge of technical and health & safety requirements across wastewater roles
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and business expectations
