Electrical Engineer/Senior Electrical Engineer

Description

Perform detailed electrical calculations—including load analysis, equipment and cable sizing, and illumination assessments—and prepare and review single‑line diagrams with appropriate protection schemes. Develop detailed electrical layout drawings, design specifications and Bills of Quantities while coordinating with mechanical, civil and architectural disciplines throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in tender documentation, evaluate vendor submissions, and take part in design reviews, quality‑assurance checks and project coordination meetings.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced, client‑focused Electrical Engineer for our Chennai office to deliver innovative electrical designs for datacentre projects in India and APAC. The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams from concept through detailed design, making decisions under pressure, and progressing toward chartership with increasing responsibility.

5–10 years of LV system experience across sectors such as defence, healthcare, education, commercial and datacentres, with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a strong portfolio of high‑quality designs. Proven ability to design LV distribution, small‑power, lighting, earthing and lightning‑protection systems in line with IS, IEC, NBC and local regulations, and solid knowledge of international codes. Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, AutoCAD and calculation tools such as DiaLux, together with excellent communication and time‑management skills and experience leading junior engineers.

• Bring 5–10 years of Low Voltage system experience across multiple building sectors, including datacentres.
• Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate a portfolio of high‑quality engineering solutions.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, AutoCAD and calculation software such as DiaLux.
