Description

The Engineering Administrator provides administrative and coordination support to Electrical Design Engineering Managers and their teams. The role focuses on consistency, accuracy, and follow‑through while executing standard work and maintaining disciplined, detail‑oriented workflows in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

• Execute standard work consistently to support engineering managers and teams.
• Maintain and adjust engineering schedules in partnership with the Engineering Coordinator.
• Author, deploy, and maintain documentation of IEM engineering processes with Program Management.
• Create and update standard work documents as new responsibilities arise.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for internal IEM systems, guiding team members.
• Populate bills of material in IEM systems based on design instructions.
• Validate engineering data against checklists before release to production.
• Manage engineering communications and route inquiries to appropriate resources.
• Record and share engineering assignment information for organizational visibility.
• Support project communication, schedules, and design cycle coordination for moderately complex projects.
• Identify and resolve common engineering process challenges with administrators and management.
• Provide backup support for program managers, coordinators, and assistants as needed.
• Foster a collaborative culture and maintain a positive outlook while working toward shared goals.

Requirements

• Technical institute certificate or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience with 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar preferred.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Demonstrate strong ownership, attention to detail, urgency, and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction at all organizational levels.

Benefits

The position offers a remote or hybrid schedule with less than 5% travel, primarily between the United States and Canada. The salary band ranges from $48,000 to $82,960, and the work environment is an office setting with regular interaction among engineering and program‑management colleagues.
